Anthony, Liberty Grove, NSW Posted Oct 1, 2019BIG BUS San Francisco City Tour Hop-On Hop-Off 1 & 2-Day PassThis route has too many stops and pickup points. Spent considerably more time "stopped" than moving! Buses were already over full, trying to put too many on each bus. Full buses and 3 hours to complete 1 loop doesn't really make it an effective hop-on hop-off system.

Kenneth, Golden, CO Posted Oct 1, 2019Mike (I think) was excellent trip narrator.Hilarious and informative.
-
John, Arlington, MA Posted Aug 27, 2019The tour was okay. Pre-recorded audio spent a great deal of time repeating the same music between moments of narrative. The frequent repetition of music and the safety announcement interfered with time for more subtantive narrative. Much of the narrative seemed like advertising for shopping in different neighborhoods of SF. I'd prefer to have that information replaced with more stories of history and people who shaped the city and parts of it and more narrative about what's being done to help SF to be prepared for climate change and to help lead the way to avoiding acceleration of that change. I also recommend a live narrator who invites and responds to questions. Given the ticket prices, that's what I had expected.

Kristy, Atlanta, Ga Posted Jul 15, 2019Fun day. Very comprehensive tour.
-
Ty, Bison, KS Posted Jul 14, 2019The bus tour was very good. However, some of the extras I purchased were really not as stated. The FREE bike rental was really just but one hour, hey one hour free. Also since it was on July 4th the tour closed early.
-
Lynette, Weston, Fl Posted Jun 7, 2019The Big Bus tour was outstanding. We were lucky to have a live tour guide. A must for anyone who is a first timer to San Francisco Definitely rate it 5 stars

Sharon, Collins, GA Posted Feb 8, 2019This was a great way to see an overview of San Francisco.

Alyce, Salem, OR Posted Oct 30, 2018My husband and I enjoyed the Big Bus City Tour Hop on Hop-off 1 day premium pass. It was worth the city tour. Very good tour guide and bus driver. We learned the history of San Francisco, 1906 earthquake and historical buildings and Golden Gate Bridge. We really enjoyed going over the Golden Gate Bridge and visiting City of Sausalitoa and Fort Baker. We would highly recommend this city tour bus to other people. We did not get a chance to do the 1.5 hour night tour because we were so busy with day time tour and our hotel was far from the bus depot at Fisherman’s Wharf. We have one suggestion. We had trouble finding the bus depot on the day of our city bus tour. We stopped at Pier 39 and 43 1/2 to ask where is bus depot and the last one told us it was across the street from the pier. Can you put better directions on the electronic tickets we paid for on line where the Big Bus depot is located at. Thank you.
-
Patricia, Willoughby, OH Posted May 19, 2019Alexis was a great tour guide she told cute and unique tales of the history of the city. The hop on/ hop off feature was very convenient as we didn’t want to drive in the city.
-
Yadira, Norwalk, California Posted Sep 4, 2018It was awesome! Beautiful to see the city by night and know all the interesting facts about Frisco. I would do it again!
-
Andrew, Prescott Valley, AZ Posted Aug 29, 2018Great tour. Would recommend and would do again. Only recommendation is that only some buses have a live narrator on bus and I would try to get on one of those. You will learn much more of the city with a narrator. Other than that they do give earpieces that you can plug in but only a limited amount of information is given about the city.
-
Shannon, Spring, Tx Posted Aug 6, 2018Great time. Thanks
-
Scott, Colorado Springs, CO Posted Jul 25, 2018This was the best experience for our first time visiting San Francisco, we only had 2 days in the city and to be able to see the whole city was great! The tour guides on the buses made it very informative and fun! The accessibility of getting on and off at whichever location was also great. We would highly recommend taking this tour if it's your first time in the city.
-

-
Mario, Greystanes, NSW Posted Feb 13, 2018Great! - So Much Fun
-
Holly, Colorado Springs, Colorado Posted Feb 13, 2018A great way to get an overview of the city. We used it to get to Golden Gate Park, and over the bridge. Narration was informative and fun - although one fellow was really hard to understand. Wish the buses came more often. We often waited 30 minutes.
-
Charles, Casa Grande, AZ Posted Feb 5, 2018Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Enjoyed the hop on and hop off. Thanks Doug. Also did the Walking tours. Great fun.
-
John, Sherman Oaks, CA Posted Dec 11, 2017Great Value ! Went at end of Nov, beginning Dec, Off season, so crowds were smaller. Includes 2 day hop on, hop off. PLUS the night tour, PLUS Sausalito tour, PLUS we went on 2 walking tours - Chinatown & North Beach. Walking tours about 1.5 hours each & well worth it, I'm 66 years old so don't let that stop you.. Added bonus, Big Bus offered a complimentary Fisherman's Wharf Aquarium admisssion (maybe due to off season) which was great. Guides on night tour, hop on hop tour & especially walking tours are very knowlegable & add to enjoyment with stories & jokes. Don't forget to tip a few bucks, these guides earn it. Overall, great way to see the city & gain some knowledge of San Francisco.
-
David, Wimborne, Dorset Posted Mar 15, 2018Had a great trip round San Francisco, so good we went round several times. The live guide was far better than the pre-recorded guide and if you can see the guide when he is pointing things out that is better still.
-
Kasia, Olney, Texas Posted Nov 22, 2017It was fun and informative. San Francisco is beautiful!
-
Rod, San Diego, CA Posted Nov 8, 2017Great tour around SF
-
Kirsten, HASTINGS, vic Posted Sep 29, 2017During the day the bus was good however don't expected to be able to get on the night tour without waiting in line for hours. They only run one bus for each night tour (6:30pm, 7pm & 7:30pm) and the buses fill up very quickly (the 6:30pm bus was already full by 6pm).
-
VIVIENNE, INVERGOWRIE, NSW Posted Sep 27, 2017Difficult to gain seats at some stops as the bus gets full pretty quickly, but for a busy city with a great deal of traffic, it's a good overview sightseeing option.
-
Noelle, los angeles, ca Posted Sep 25, 2017We hopped on and off a couple of times, all the guides were wonderful, as was the tour. Thank you!

Donna, Newfoundland, NJ Posted Sep 24, 2017

Carolina, San Francisco, California Posted Sep 23, 2017Thank you for making our visit such a great experience!! Our tour, the buses, the workers, everything was sooo good.
-
Sergio, Liverpool, NY Posted Aug 29, 2017The bus trip was great. The $8 savings per ticket was well worth the extra minute it took to exchange online print out for a real ticket at one oft the bus stops.
-
Jennifer, North Wales, PA Posted Aug 29, 2017Our first bus had no tour guide -- just the recorded guide. That wasn't great and we weren't forewarned or advised in advanced. We would have waited for a live tour guide. When we got our second bus we had Blake and he was fantastic, so much so we didn't want to hop off because we were enjoying the tour so much -- 5 stars for Blake and overall experience with a deduction for a bumpy start.
-
David, Fonthill, ON Posted Aug 20, 2017Awesome tour! We especially appreciated Dave the Tour Guide! https://www.facebook.com/tourguidedave/
-
JAMES, Naples, FL Posted Aug 13, 2017Good for visitors that do not speak English as they have multi-lingual options. On the other hand, though the stops are fine, we much prefer a living person giving commentary as this is a recorded tour.Response from the GuideYou.com TeamThanks for your feedback! Every other bus has a live guide. Buses offering recorded narration will have a sign in the window.

Evelyn, Los angeles, California Posted Jul 19, 2017I enjoyed the ride and the conductor was great.... I would definitely recommend the Big Bus Hop-On Hop-Off.....
-
Christina, Rocklin, CA Posted Jun 24, 2017Loved our tour guide, but disappointed when we got off, and then got back in we had a recording. What's up with that? It was terrible. You should mark the busses that have the live person speaking. I wouldn't do or recommend the audio recording again.
-
Geoffrey, Chelmsford, Essex Posted Jun 20, 2017AN absolutely great way of seeing Frisco and would highly recommend.
-
Myoung Whan, Yongin, Gyounggi Posted Jun 11, 2017It was good to see the city in a short period of time. Especially Korean audio guide was good. The voice and pronounciation of the guide was perfect and sophiscated, so it was easy to hear even in the noise of the city and the contents were exellent. However, some of our people sat in the front row, and one of the audio jacks in there was broken and they had to split it into two earohones.

-
Virginia, Cleveland, OH Posted May 22, 2017Big Bus is the best possible way to see San Francisco for a reasonable fee. A lot of tourists don't have or need their own car, so being able to get off at any stop for however long you want is perfect. You get to see almost everything that anyone would want to see in SF and get to decide your own itinerary for further sightseeing and experiencing at your own pace. I would recommend this way to see SF or any city for everyone.
-
Simeya, Sacramento, CA Posted Apr 24, 2017I was pleased with the overall experience
-
Leonardo, Hollister, Florida Posted Apr 17, 2017My wife and I did the 2 day plus 1 night tour and were glad we did. We learned and saw a lot that we would not have if we didn't take this tour.
-
Doug, Kitchener, ON Posted Mar 20, 2017This was great value. The only down side was the St. Patrick's Day Parade on day two which really slowed down the bus. This is not the fault of the company. We were also able to use the end of day shuttle back to Union Square which made our connection with the BART.
-
MaryAnne, Viewbank, VIC Posted Mar 10, 2017We loved every minute of our Big Bus experience and recomment it. We especially loved the night tour which crossed both th Golden Gate and Bay Bridges. The drivers and guides were very helful and friendly.
-
Marko, Rakovica, Croatia Posted Feb 15, 2017This tour in San Francisco is great, all our guides was very good. This is best way to see all city.
-
Julia, London, Ontario Posted Jan 11, 2017The day tour was a great way to see all the major areas of the city and the bus came very frequently. The night tour did not have enough buses running, and we were not able to get a seat arriving 30mins early.
-
Weixing, Mountain View, California Posted Jan 3, 2017great experience!
-
Chris, Beecroft, Nsw Posted Dec 17, 2016Good way to get from point a to b around San Fran. Would have liked the option of a night tour with 24 hour pass. We took 4.30 from union square in December which was already dark so saw night lights and across the Golden Gate Bridge. However with peak hour traffic it took 3 hrs to complete the loop. Suggest in winter your night tours start earlier than 6.30 and 7.30 - it's too cold then & has been dark for some time. Would recommend as intro to the city as it covers a lot of distance that's hard to do otherwise in a short period.
-
TERESA, TUCSON, AZ Posted Dec 16, 2016Great tour guide. We had a good time, buses were on schedule, we saw a lot of San Francisco. We will take this Hop-On hop-off again.
-
Robert, Danvers, Massachusetts Posted Dec 7, 2016We had a great time and all that were involved were friendly and informative. Thanks for the ride!!
-
Jennifer, Lewiston, Maine Posted Nov 22, 2016Very easy to catch and we went everywhere for the night tour they used a wrap bus which was terrible you can't see anything if you're on the bottom total waste of time.
-
Michael, Milton, Ma Posted Nov 15, 2016Perfect tour, excellent drivers and personable tour guides. Highly recommend. Did wait longer than 30 minutes for a bus though.
-
ROBERT, RALEIGH, NC Posted Nov 8, 2016It was a great way to see the sites. The people getting on gave us tips Of the best way to enjoy. The young lady that did the tour for being so young knew so much about everything. My husband and I really enjoyed our visit.
-
Jorge Luis, Mexico, Distrito Federal Posted Nov 3, 2016It was an excellent tour, covering all the major tourist locations with a wealth of information about each one. Would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to San Francisco
-
Deb, Alexander, AR Posted Sep 29, 2016Loved this tour. I rode thru the tour completely first before I decided to get off. Lost my ticket somewhere during this time. Normally you would be required to buy another ticket but the man in charge must have felt sorry for me since I was alone and wrote me a special pass so that I could continue the tour. This alone speaks volumes for this company! I can say when riding on top, it is harder to hear the speaker in the earphones due to ambient noise but that is really the place to be especially going over the Golden Gate bridge.
-
Matthew, Amarillo, Texas Posted Sep 26, 2016Worked out great. Just don't plan to get off or you may be waiting awhile depending on crowd.
-
Emmanuell, Mexico, Mexico, Mexico Posted Sep 26, 2016We got 27 dollars off!! Great deal!
-
Sharon, Longmont, Colorado Posted Sep 15, 2016fantastic tour experience but the logistics could use some streamlining. While waiting for one of the last trolleys of the day from Sausalito, there was no clear delineation for "line start here" to queue up for the trolley. As a result of this, the trolley stopped toward the rear of the line, causing those in the "front" (who had been waiting for almost an hour, I'm told) to get very irate. This in turn made for a very ugly scene as those waiting the longest were vying for spots on the trolley with those waiting the shortest...and a fist fight almost ensued. Long story short....this could have easily been avoided (at all of the trolley pick up locations), if your company would put signs stating "line forms here for Big Bus"...or something along those lines. Other than that, good experience, good tour.
-
SHARONNE, BRENTWOOD, CA Posted Sep 9, 2016That was great tour for someone having knee problems: )
-
neil, GILBERT, AZ Posted Aug 30, 2016The China Town Walk was outstanding and we rode the bus tour more than once to make sure that we saw everything. We would do it again!
-
Greg, Miami, FL Posted Aug 28, 2016If you are a first timer to San Francisco this hop on, hop off tour is a must. There are about stops at all the sights in San Francisco and the guides are helpful in filling you in on the history and happenings in the city. Well worth the money.
-
Sandra, North Kelsey, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom Posted Aug 14, 2016We had Jacob as the guide on the bus and the driver I think was James (Thurs 4 August). Both were great and Jacob especially made the journey interesting with all the information he gave us about the area as we drove around San Francisco. It is worth getting a 2 day ticket, spending one trip doing the whole route as a orientation exercise and then on the second trip deciding where to get on and off. Tram tour to Sausalito (included with 2 day ticket) from the Sausalito side of the Golden Gate Bridge is great too. Our kids (teenagers) groaned when we said we were taking the hop on/off bus but they both enjoyed it.
-
Alison, Canvey island, Essex, United Kingdom Posted Aug 13, 2016A fantastic way to get your bearings, get a good first look round this amazing city! It has excellent live commentary from funny and knowledgeable SanFranciscans ! Definitely helped us gain an insight into the history of this place that we wouldn't have had access to! Definitely book this tour for at least 2 days as you get transported to many places of interest We thoroughly recommend it
-
Stephanie, Sugar Hill, Georgia Posted Jul 30, 2016This was an excellent tour and I regret not booking it for more than one day because there were so many great stops that could be explored. The 1st bus we boarded had an exceptional tour guide, Jacob, he was funny, informative and gave some great insight about the city. Loved this tour would definitely do it again in San Francisco or one of the other cities it is offered in.
-
Steve, Berwick, PA Posted Jul 26, 2016Great tour with a very pleasurable staff. Would highly recommend these tours to anyone. We will be using them again on our next trip.
-
ulloa, los angeles, california Posted Jul 25, 2016The first part of the ride was great but when we took the bus after visiting Sausalito; at the new bus we did not received earbugs ,so we could not understand anything.Response from the GuideYou.com TeamWe appreciate the feedback on your tour experience. For clarification, some buses in the fleet may only offer live commentary (no headset ports); if multilingual commentary is required ask the driver before boarding the bus.

Soukanh, Anthony, Kansas Posted Jul 24, 2016Great tour we love it
-
Frank, Southside, Alabama Posted Jul 18, 2016Hop on-hop off was okay. Being tourists, it took us a fair amount of time to learn where the trolley ran. It seemed to be a fair value. The night tour was the best part of the Big Bus tour. Tour guide Big Bus Blake was the best.
-
Courtney, Baton Rouge, Louisiana Posted Jul 16, 2016It was a great way to get around San Fransisco and hit all the important sites.
-

anthony, depere, wi Posted Jul 10, 2016An absolute must the first day or two that you arrive. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. We learned a lot about the history of the city. We decided to stay on the bus for most of tour, until stop 19. A+!!
-
GABRIEL, Quito, Pichincha, Ecuador Posted Jun 29, 2016Recomended! You can save a lot of money and visit wonderfull places.
-
Kylee, St. Charles, Il Posted Jun 18, 2016We had a great time on the tour. We liked all the locations that they stopped by at and the busses were timely when we would get off and need to get back on.
-
Jennifer, Pace, Florida Posted Jun 12, 2016Had the 48 hour tour, which included a night tour. Took day tour which required earbuds (that were supplied by the driver) and listened to info about the buildings and history of San Francisco; night tour had a knowledgeable tour guide speaking. Even with it being a nice day it was still windy and chilly on the top deck during the day and cold at night so recommend a coat or several layers of clothing. Loved hearing about the city and seeing it with my own eyes. We road over the Golden Gate bridge on the day tour and the Bay Bridge on the night tour. We arrived about 15 minutes before night tour scheduled start and the bus was already full. But the kind staff and lady guide, (I believe her name is Stacy) brought out another tour bus so that the rest of us could get our tour too. The day guide Leo was also nice.
-
Miriam, North Wales, Pennsylvania Posted Jun 6, 2016Overall, very good. But guides were inconsistent. From great to a hard to understand accent to one time when there was no commentary so we had to get off and catch the next one. Night tour guide was great.
-
Jerome, St. Albans, HERTFORDSHIRE, United Kingdom Posted Jun 1, 2016Well worth the price of a 48h ticket. Hop on and hop off works well (although you could be waiting a while for a bus there seemed to be agents around to help). Take warm clothing! Even on a nice day when you cross the bridges it gets really cold. Tour guides were great (esp. Sammy I think her name was), knowledgeable and friendly. Night tour was good (get in the queue early - like 45mins before to guarantee a seat).
-
Raymond, Garland, TX Posted May 20, 2016Good frequency of buses and the tour route/stops allow you to hit most of the main attractions in the city. The package which includes the Sausalito tour allows you to do a one way walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. Some of the tours are guided and the two tour guises we had (Ashley and Dion) were both great. I recommend the package with the night tour which takes you over the Bay Bridge to view the San Fran city lights. Just make sure you pick a tour time when it will dark. (Some earlier tours are more evening tours and it is still light out).
-
Lesley, Stettler, Alberta, Canada Posted Apr 28, 2016Perfect tour for our first day in San Francisco, our guide Chris was awesome. Got to see the whole city and Chris provided so much information.! The hop on and off aspect was great as you could stop whenever you wanted and get back on later. Perfect

Linda, Denver, CO Posted Mar 27, 2016Loved the tour...made it easy to get around San Francisco and see it in more depth than I ever had.
-
Jia, Saint Louis, MO Posted Mar 24, 2016Our tour guide was Douglas and he was a funny old guy! I remember Brianna, who said it was her first time (?) giving tour. Well done Briyonce! Night tour was fun as well.
-
Magali, North Las Vegas, NV Posted Mar 22, 2016We had a wonderful time on the bus! The first guide was not so friendly. He was moody and rude. The second one was great and funny. Although it was raining we still had a great time! It is nice that you give us a poncho to wear and the headphones to listen. We had a blast and will definitely be back to ride again. Thank you!!!
-
Juan, Miami, Florida Posted Feb 2, 2016Really good spetially ehen u don't have a lot of time to visit. Thanks
-
shantanu, Denver, CO Posted Nov 5, 2015really loved guideyou.com. the other hop on - hop off bus tour company quoted a little higher and that's where guideyou.com came in with about $6 saving per ticket. A couple of times that i called their customer to clarify stuff, they were very prompt and courteous. Also, when i presented their print-tickets to the bus tour office, it was immediately accepted without any questions. Given that no other discounts were available for this bus tour, their savings of $12 for 2 adults is certainly welcome , especially when no extra effort is required.
-
Angela, LaVernia, Tx Posted Nov 2, 2015Great tour and enjoyed getting off at some of the stops. Wish you could hop off on the nighttime tour as well. That would be my only suggestion.
-
Shannon, Houston, Tx Posted Oct 26, 2015Everyone we met on these tours were friendly and knowledgeable. I was impressed by the positive way even dark parts of SF history were conveyed. The 48-hour pass had more perks than we had time to use. Be warned that weekend afternoon traffic can extend the time of the tour -- it is still fun, but you may not make an early dinner reservation.
-
cindy, cudahy, Select Posted Oct 16, 2015The tour guide Anthony from the Big Bus company was amazing guide. I loved the walking tours and the night tour. You have to get their early if you want a spot on the top of the bus. The most annoying thing was other crabby customers.

Justin, newborough, Victoria, Australia Posted Sep 17, 2015Great route around the City with plenty of buses stopping often. Really enjoyed the night cruise but was freezing.. Our guide went to great lengths to keep us warm with ponchos and shirts. Was a fun night with great views. Ride back to union square at the end was helpful.
-

Barbara, McMinnville, Oregon Posted Aug 29, 2015We're so glad we purchased the 48 hour Hop-On-Hop-Off San Francisco Tour! It was a great way to get an overview of the city and then return to the places we wanted to explore. All the extras made this a fantastic value (night tour, 7-D experience, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, etc.). The guides were really knowledgeable and very fun -- and I have to mention how skillful the bus drivers were! The drivers got us around safely and efficiently even in the crazy SF traffic. We would definitely do the Hop-On-Hop-Off tour again!
-
Alicia, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA Posted Aug 24, 2015We had a fabulous time and enjoyed every minute. When we got off bus we actually didn't have to wait too long. The night tour was excellent! Our tour guide Kristine was great! We're glad we chose to purchase from guideyou.com for San Francisco hop on hop off Big Red Bus deluxe package well worth the money!!!! We will purchase from your site again!
-
Claire, Donadea, Kildare, Ireland Posted Aug 17, 2015Very good tour, I did the 48 hour tour. It showed a lot of downtown and the night tour showed other sites. My only downside was I couldn't talk to the driver to ask him to stop between stops when my brand new prescription glasses blew off (I could see they didn't break). There were many free options with the ticket but do wish it could have included a discount for ferry rides or the cable car
-
Min-Chi, Taipei, Taiwan, ROC, Taiwan Posted Aug 2, 2015Terrific day, night tour and Sausalito tour with Big Bus. Too long a line and time to wait especially at Union square and weekend. Scenic spots and satff especially those who are knowledge and experienced are good.
-
RALPH, INDIANAPOLIS, IN Posted Jul 30, 2015You get a good general tour of the city with lots of places to stop and explore. The added bonuses with the 48 ticket were really great. If we have one complaint, it is that the staff often unclear about the schedules and rules. When WE SIGNED UP for the 48 hour pass on THE PHONE, WE WERE TOLD THAT OUR 48 HOURS DOES NOT START until we get on the bus for the first time. When we picked up our tickets the afternoon before our planned first trip, we were told that it starts when we pick up our tickets. Agent had to annotate the ticket to show we were not starting our 48 hours until the next morning. We were told the Sausalito bus leaves in the morning at 9AM. When we got to the boarding area we were told that it didn't leave until 9:30. A driver did not show up so that trip ran about an hour longer than anticipated. Kept people in the dark most of the morning. There is no place to sit near the bus office. Hard for older people, especially if the wait is long. Advise people who go the evening bridge4 rides to dress warm.
-
Suzanne, Canal Fulton, Oh Posted Jul 17, 2015We bought a 48 hour pass. Enjoyed a day trip across the Golden Gate Bridge and an evening tour to Treasure Island. We learned about places we didn't know existed and ended up visiting a number of places we would not have otherwise. Our tour guide Stacy was awesome! Will not hesitate to take another tour with this company.
-
Patrick, Mount Holly, NC Posted Jul 9, 2015Great way to see the city. Dress according to weather as it is cold and windy going across the Golden Gate Bridge.

Peace, Posted Jul 7, 2015I loved the live night tour. Our tour guide was very fun and informative. The daytime automated version was fine.
-
Hajo, Posted Jun 5, 2015We enjoy the 48 hour pass in San Francisco very much. Great way to see a lot off this big city. It was rather cold and windy on may 26 but that doesn't matter it all. The evening tour 7 p.m. was great. Our guide whas funny and he knows a lot about San Francisco. We want to say to everybody who wants to visit this city....do it by Hop On Hop Off bus. It's great!

-
Darin, Posted May 16, 2015Excellent way of seeing San Francisco while getting some great information on the history at the same time! The night tour was well worth taking -- seeing the skyline and lowering sun from Treasure Island was beautiful. We took 4 different buses over the 48 hours, and every tour guide was great. I'm sorry I don't remember the name of the one guide who had lived in S.F. for most of his life and was a wealth of information. Thank you for helping make my trip what it was!
-
steven, Posted May 13, 2015Excellent way to see the whole city and find out where you want to spend extra time at. I would recommend the 48 hour tour in order to have enough time to get off and explore the stops that you want. I really enjoyed the buses that had live commentary from a tour guide. Some of the buses just had recordings and it wasn't so great. Make sure to start out first thing in the morning and get onto the night tour too. Also bring a nice warm jacket and gloves, it gets cold on the tour all year round especially while going over the bridges.

Abdelrehim Abdalla (Mahmoud, Posted Apr 17, 2015I really owe GuideYou a review because I was a terrible customer and yet they accommodated all of my requests. To begin with, I booked my ticket with the wrong name and they had no problem in changing it on the same day and e-mailing me the new one right away. The ticket was also 10% cheaper than the online site of the tour. Then my plans changed and I had to change the dates: No problem! GuideYou is awesome!
-
Posted Apr 9, 2015Good value especially the extras with the 48hour ticket. However we had to queue for some time both mornings as we were unable to get on the first bus to arrive because it was full.
-
Posted Apr 2, 2015What a perfect way to see San Fran!
-
Posted Mar 30, 2015This worked out great for our family. We had family (daughter and grandson) who had not been to San Francisco before. This gave a great overview of the city and allowed us to plan the following day's activities based on what they wanted to spend more time on. We stayed at Fisherman's Wharf and bus stop was 1 1/2 blocks from hotel - couldn't be better. We did opt for the 48 hr pass, but just used the 24 hr. It wasn't that much more to have the 48 hr pass and it afforded us greater flexibiltiy.
-
Posted Mar 27, 2015the tour was a great way to see the city and hit all of the highlights. Buses were always available and were consistent on the times. Never had to wait longer than 10 mins for a bus to come by the stops. Traveled at a quieter time of year so there were always seats on the top. Took the night tour as part of the 48 hour pass. Arrived to find that the last bus full. There were several other people who could not get on the bus. They got another bus for us and took the rest of us around the city - that was above and beyond!! Fabulous service! Friendly staff! fun commentary! Would highly recommend this tour and company!!
-
Zhenyi, Posted Mar 23, 2015The bus was great and the night tour was amazing. But sometimes there were too many people on a bus so that some elders could not have a seat.
-
Andreas, Posted Mar 16, 2015The tour was overall good and helped us to got an overview about the attractions in San Francisco!

Misael, Posted Mar 11, 2015Fun and interesting.
-
Posted Mar 3, 2015The tour was fine.. we hopped on and off a few times. The live tour guides were pretty good and the recorded audio was fine as well. We did not have to wait too long for the bus.
-
andrew, Posted Mar 3, 2015Despite the coolish weather we greatly enjoyed our 48 hour pass on the Hop-On Hop-Off bus. We were only in SF for two days on a stopover break from New Zealand to the UK and the tour gave a very helpful insight both to the life and the history of SF. We also took the evening tour which probably was less interesting since the commentary repeated much of what we had heard earlier in the day. I guess that is inevitable but some variation would have been welcome. I suppose the only negative side was the very obvious request for gratuities made by the guides - it felt that we were under pressure to give rather than it being a response by us to the service given
-
jenina, Posted Feb 22, 2015worth the price for the hop on hop off. I wish we had more time. I'd definitely do it again.
-
Ingeborg, Posted Feb 22, 2015I was on the bus with a guide called Peter (I think this is his name) he was erxellent I enjoyed very much the ride!!!

Karla, Posted Jan 25, 2015Great way to get around a very large City. We bought the 48 hour ticket so we could take the full tour and hear the educational information about the City. The next day we took advantage of the hop on, hop off to see some areas in detail. Very prompt pick ups! Never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a pick up. Also, night tour that came with the 48 hour package was awesome!

-

Yordana, Posted Oct 31, 2014Perfect! we choose the 2 day for $45 and we did almost everything. It allows you to move around know the city and even enjoy guided tours.
-
Posted Oct 31, 2014Good value; the two walking tours were excellent with knowledgeable guides
-
Posted Oct 30, 2014The Big Bus Hop-On hop-Off was a delightful experience for us and we certainly got to know San Francisco better because of it. All its personnel were most courteous and helpful and its buses were not only comfortable but on time . We especially enjoyed the walking tours and our guide Kyra was fantastic. Not only was she extremely informative and insightful but went out of her way to make the experience a very personal experience. Do NOT experience San Francisco for the first time without taking this tour. Two very satisfied travelers!
-
Kimberly, Posted Oct 15, 2014This was a great way to get around town. We had great weather so it was crowded and sometimes we couldn't get on the top level but when we did it was so fun! The 2 day pass allowed us to spend some time in Sausalito which we really enjoy.
-
ROBERT, Posted Oct 1, 2014Great tour....also did some walking tours.....would highly recommend!
-
Posted Sep 30, 2014I was nervous of what i was signing up for not sure what to expect but i was talking my GF on a one day surprised trip. I needed to fit in as much as i could all before we had to flight out that same day. This tour was perfect, our tour guide was knowledgeable and very entertaining. I'd been to SF many times and still learned a thing or two that never had known about the city. The buses can get a little crowded but thats just part of the hop on hop off experience in my opinion. For the Price and convenience i couldn't have asked for anything more. Definitely would recommend this tour.

Susie, Posted Sep 7, 2014Guideyou.com was very easy to use, saved us money. I purchased the tickets in the morning, and then went to Fishermans Wharf office to collect them same day. Hop on Hop Off bus is a great way to see San Francisco.
-
Posted Sep 7, 2014We enjoyed the trip very much. Would do it again for my quests. Mrs. Bellavia
-
Fabio, Posted Sep 2, 2014Great tour of the wonderful city of San Francisco. What I appreciated the most was the guide on the Sausalito's tour. We don't know his true name, but he was super nice, funny and entertaining during the visit. Most of all, when we took the 18,30 bus from Sausalito, he drove us directly to the Fisherman Wharf, avoiding us to wait for another bus at the North View of the Golden Gate bridge. Really suggested to any visitors in San Franc. Also the night tour is worth the trip!!!
-
Posted Sep 2, 2014First time in San Fran. Glad that we took the tour. Convenient. Friendly. We would recommend.
-
Posted Aug 29, 2014Perfect way to see most of the need-to-see spots without having to worry about getting there!

ANGELA, Posted Aug 23, 2014Fun but cold.Response from the GuideYou.com TeamRemember to dress in layers - San Francisco weather can be cool.
-
JOSEPHINE, Posted Aug 23, 2014It's was chilly but great
-
Posted Aug 20, 2014We very much enjoyed the night-time tour. We were disappointed that the exit to Sausalito was shut down when we were headed over there (during the daytime). Was there not another way to get there so we could get on the Sausalito trolly stops?Response from the GuideYou.com TeamUnfortunately there are restrictions imposed on the routes a tour bus is allowed to take.
-
Kem, Posted Aug 18, 2014Excellent tour and service. I would recommend it to everyone.
-
Joey, Posted Aug 17, 2014What a great way to see the city! No worries about having to deal with parking or traffic plus you get the benefit of a tour!
-
Posted Aug 8, 2014My mom and I had 3 guides and an audio tour. Theyou were all very good. The night tour was defiantly the best. The guide was very into it and even gave me a scarf to use since it got a bit chilly.
-
patricia, Posted Aug 5, 2014Great way to obtain last minute Alcatraz tickets. It was a great value with the hop on hop off pass

-
Jason, Posted Jul 29, 2014We were in San Fran for one week and stayed at the Wharf. This bus trip is a awesome experience and easy way to see the city plus you drive over the Golden Gate Bridge. The bus leaves right from the Wharf. Well worth the money.
-
Posted Jul 25, 2014Great value for money-prompt pick-up/drop off in safe area's. The walking tour's were excellent, guides informative and we had good dialogue among the group. We have recommended your company to others and will continue to do so. Have mentioned in our comments on trip advisor.
-
Aryanna, Posted Jul 23, 2014This was a great idea if you don't know the area! Once we took the tour we felt as if we were locals! The night tour was amazing!!! One of the best parts of our trip!
-
francis, Posted Jul 22, 2014This was, by far, the best way to see the city. The pace is perfect, the stops are in all the right places. We got the best pictures of our trip from the top of the bus.
-

-
Tudor, Posted Jul 10, 2014It was a great way to get to know San Francisco, bits of history and such. The guides brought a lot of added value to the tour, as did the prerecorded messages.
-
Posted Jul 9, 2014Wonderful tour! It is very convenient for tourists, which a little time to explore the city! A great help! Loved it!
-
Ivan, Posted Jul 8, 2014We were in SF on Saturday June 28th. We booked online and picked up our tickets at the Big Bus main office in front of Fisherman's Wharf. We did this without a printout and just the confirmation number. This ran smoothly. We then began our tour and the guides were great. They gave lots of information about the neighborhoods and history of the buildings and where quite entertaining. We highly recommend Big Bus tours for people who want to see more of the city's highlights but do not want to be driving around the city.
-
Troy, Posted Jul 8, 2014My family used the hop on hop off 48 hour pass the first two days we were in the city. We road two buses that had "live" tour guides and one that was automated with headphones. We only had to wait a couple of minutes to get back on a bus after "hopping off" at the Academy of Science and other locations. We also took advantage of doing the included night tour and 7-D experience.
-
LINDA, Posted Jul 3, 2014We loved the Hop On Hop Off bus! It took us all over the city, and we saw got off at our leisure and saw many beautiful things! The drivers were all very friendly and helpful. The next time I am there I will us your service again, and thank you for making my trip travel easy and enjoyable!

-
Joyce, Posted Jun 20, 2014What a wonderful way to see San Francisco. We fully enjoyed both days of our 48 hour Pass. The first day we did the suggested touring and on our second day we used the bus to get us where we wanted to be. The evening tour was an added bonus. The Sausalito stop is absolutely a must do! Our evening tour guide Christina was exceptional. Not only was she a great guide but was so helpful making sure folks knew the best way back to their overnight locations. hanks Christina and Guide you for a wonderful time.
-
Laura, Posted Jun 19, 2014Awesome tour. Great pictures from the bus that I would never get on the ground. Best value for the money. Hit all the major locations. Bought the 48 hour pass because there is so much to see. Was able to catch bus next day near our hotel and continue our adventure. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to see San Francisco area.
-
Posted Jun 11, 2014The tour was very good, I was able to do most of the tour twice. It is definately worth the price and my pictures are amazing.
-
Linda, Posted Jun 6, 2014The 2 day tour was great and we enjoyed the walking tour of China Town and the night tour. I recommend this to anyone who wants to get around San Francisco and learn about it. 5 stars.

-
Thomas, Posted Jun 1, 2014We really enjoyed our tour. The very best part was the live Tour Guide. He did an excellent job, I just wish I could remember his name so I could properly give him the credit.
-
Kelly, Posted May 21, 2014We really enjoyed the experience. Great idea if you want to familiarize yourself with the city and discover other places to visit. Also great for a short trip just to get the highlights. The guides had lots of interesting and funny info to share. Some communication issues on the Sausalito tour connection but otherwise went smoothly.
-
Chuck, Posted May 9, 2014What an educational and relaxing way to see the city! The guide was very entertaining and interesting. It was convenient to get on and off because of the scheduled times for the stops and their locations. Highly recommend this experience!
-
Marilyn, Posted May 4, 2014My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our 48 hour pass. We loved the night tour on the 23rd. I believe our night tour guide was Alison. It was cold and windy and this tour was her fourth tour of the day, but she was very informative and funny. We also enjoyed the other guides with their unique perspectives on San Francisco.
-
Posted May 3, 2014We had a great time touring San Francisco and Sausalito! The guides were great and informative! We were able to see a lot in a short amount of time! Loved that we could sit up top and see things not from a window in a bus!
-
Janell, Posted Apr 18, 2014Was a good way to get around to landmarks !
-
Linda, Posted Apr 10, 2014First rate way to see San Fran in a short time frame! Highly recommended! You get to pick and choose where you spend your time. The night- time tour was worth the price of the tickets alone! but...dress warm! So, buy your tickets here for the best of the double-decker bus hop on- hop off venues! You won't be disappointed! Drivers very helpful!
-
Posted Apr 1, 2014Good quality service

-
Wendy, Posted Nov 22, 2013Excellent tour with an excellent tour guide! Our first time to SF and we visited main attractions and learned a lot about SF. Very interesting and enjoyable! We're glad we picked the right bus and we look forward to their many other tours.

-
Anna, Posted Oct 31, 2013Very good tour with many extras! One thing to consider is adding a clear top to accommodate very cold weather (especially for the night tour). That is how NY resolved this problem. Good luck!
-
David, Posted Oct 25, 2013We enjoyed the tour a lot. The guides were informative and humorous. We only hopped off and on once (at Fisherman's Wharf). Weather was great -- 70 and sunny on a Sunday afternoon in October. The choice of 20 stops was good. But there were several snags with traffic (before and after Golden Gate for example). Not the fault of the tour, but still worth noting that 20-30 minutes of the tour is consumed waiting in traffic.
-
Posted Oct 19, 2013Great way to see San Francisco. Just remember to bring a beanie for the night tour, its terribly cold going across the Bay Bridge. Also the walking tours are great!
-
Agnes, Posted Oct 18, 2013Took us to where we wanted, well worth the money compared to some of the other buses that only took you through certain loops. Must remember to bundle up for the night tour though, got a bit cold.
-
kristine, Posted Oct 14, 2013What a fantastic tour! My husband and I had a 24-hour pass and did the night tour as well. Much fun and very informative. Count us in the next time we visit San Fran!
-
Posted Oct 13, 2013Our tour guide Anthony was great. He went above and beyond sharing a lot of interesting infor. Very courteous.
-
Kathleen, Posted Oct 10, 2013Well worth the money! The live guides on the evening tour and through Chinatown were very knowledgeable. The audio on the bus tour was appreciated as it was often noisy on the upper deck of the bus. Great way to get around San Francisco and visit Sausolito.
-
Quince, Posted Aug 31, 2013It was fun and it greatly simplified our stay in San Francisco. We got to see everything we wanted with no fuss.

-
Gillian, Posted Jul 30, 2013Great way to see the city, and the 48 hour option is a really good deal since it also includes a walking tour, bus to Sausalito, and the guided walking tours. Buses are frequent and drivers/guides very helpful.
-
Jonathan, Posted Jul 21, 2013Nice tour, but traffic at evening rush hour was terrible.
-
Posted Jul 9, 2013Lela and Patrick were an awesome team. Great info and extra fun facts. Enjoyed the freedom and flexibility to get off and on as I wanted. Great way to see the city.
-
Carolyn, Posted Jun 29, 2013This hop-on hop-off was the best. We did not have to wait more than 5 minutes for the next bus to pick us up. Went to or very near the most popular attractions. Buses were clean and everyone very friendly. Would do this again and recommend it. That's the Big Bus. We took the 48-hour tour which gave us transportation to Golden Gate Park the second day with lots of time to visit the attractions there, plus do extras that were not on our "must see" list. Great vacation.

-
Posted Jun 16, 2013Some of the guides did not let us know which stops were coming up, in fact, some didn't talk at all. The ones that did talk and give us background were very good.
