Take a Sweet Break with a Candy Factory Tour

You don’t have to be a jelly bean fanatic to find something interesting here. Jelly Belly has created a traveler-friendly spot at their state-of-the-art candy factory to learn all about the Jelly Belly jelly bean-making process and hundreds of other confections. Located 20 minutes from the Napa wine country, the Jelly Belly Visitor Center is the perfect place to stop for a sweet experience.

The tour of the candy factory begins in the spacious Visitor Center and leads visitors on a 40-minute walking tour inside the factory. Visitors learn how the Jelly Belly jelly bean got its name and why it takes up to 14 days to make a Jelly Belly bean.

Or for a more exclusive tour, try Jelly Belly University. A private tour for groups of up to six people. Guides lead guests through the jelly bean-making process on the actual factory floor for an up-close and personal experience. Every person who completes Jelly Belly University receive a Degree of Beanology souvenir t-shirt and a discount card for shopping in the store. Offered Monday through Friday, children must be six years old or older to enroll.  Pants and closed toed shoes are required, wheelchair accessible. Reservations required, book through

Jelly Belly makes more than 100 flavors of Jelly Belly jelly beans, and also 70 other confectionery delights. All of which can be found at the Visitor Center Store, including the Chocolate Shoppe for hand-dipped delicacies and Jelly Belly Café where you can find bean-shaped pizzas and burgers.

Guest looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the Visitor Center will find an oasis upstairs with the Chocolate and Wine Experience at Jelly Belly. Tucked away in the Very Cherry Room, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., guests 21 and older can taste five flights of local Suisun Valley wines paired with house-made chocolates.

The Jelly Belly Visitor Center Store carries many souvenirs and all of the jelly beans and confections made by Jelly Belly. Make sure to pick up factory seconds called “Belly Flops” and post-season sweets and gift items at deep discounts on occasion.

The Jelly Belly Visitor Center is open daily. Tours Monday through Sunday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The factory operates Monday through Friday. Our candy-makers are off on the weekends so factory tours are “quiet” and monitors along the walkway take over to show guests how the Jelly Belly jelly beans are made.
