San Francisco Fire Engine Tours

SF Fire Engine Tours Wins TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2014

There’s nothing else like the San Francisco Fire Engine Tours and Adventures. It’s a classic adventure to remember, riding across the majestic Golden Gate Bridge in an authentic shiny red 1955 vintage Mack fire truck with painted gold lettering.

The tour and adventure lasts for 90 minutes including lots of San Francisco highlights such as the forests of the Presidio, the great camera angles from Fort Baker and Crissy Field and unsurpassed views from the Marin Headlands. See Alcatraz and Angel Island in San Francisco Bay, the place where the bay meets the Pacific Ocean. Along the way view pretty Victorian houses and shops along Union Street, the old cannery by Fisherman’s Wharf, cable cars clambering past and lots more.

An Emphasis on Fun

Singing and an occasional blaring of the sirens -- just to make sure they’re still working and to surprise a few passersby -- is definitely allowed. Besides, together with the fog horns of the Golden Gate Bridge and the ring-a-ding-ding of the cable cars, we cannot promise complete silence in our unique corner of the world.

Photo opportunities abound. The fire truck is a  huge favorite with kids, who love clamboring onboard, taking a turn sitting in the driver’s seat, getting photos taken wearing the fireman’s hat and coat. It’s a great family outing.

Unique Tours

San Francisco Fire Engine Tours and Adventures is a family-owned and operated business. The owners even live in an old fire station. Your tour guide is one of the fire truck owners and will tell you all about San Francisco history with plenty of personal insider stories to share.

A 90-minute San Francisco tour can also be combined with an Alcatraz option. Specialty tours include San Francisco Wineries and Tastings on Treasure Island and a Holiday Lights tour in December.
